Job Summary
Program CNC part programs using engineering drawings and Master CAM software, setting up and operating multi-axis vertical and turning equipment. Interface with Manufacturing Engineering on tooling requirements, load and edit programs for production needs, and perform machine adjustments and tool offsets. Inspect finished parts with measuring gauges to verify conformance, maintain production records, and ensure safety and 5S standards are followed. Work in both R&D and production environments, utilizing the Machine Shop ERP system for data management.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in multi-axis (5-axis) CNC Machining
- Experience in live tooling CNC Turning
- Knowledge of machining techniques and methods
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Solid working knowledge of Mastercam
- Knowledge and understanding of lean manufacturing and its application to the machine shop environment
- Experience with using standard inspection tools and methods in the evaluation of machined parts
- Ability to work in both R&D and production rate environments
- Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time
- Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working on the manufacturing floor
- Ability to handle and lift objects weighing at least 25 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Additional experience with welding, grinding, and waterjet
- Experience with ProShop ERP
