Job Summary
Develop CNC programs for 3, 4, 5 axis, and millturn machines using Catia, Mastercam, or Espirit software while troubleshooting production issues and supporting quality teams to meet customer requirements. Plan machining operations by reviewing drawings, engineering plans, and specifications, then analyze tool registers, offsets, and compensation settings to optimize speeds and feed rates. Develop fixture designs and provide cost estimations for quoting processes, including setup time and CNC cycle calculations. Participate in sales calls to solve technical issues and propose cost-saving plans, while actively driving continuous improvement efforts to enhance productivity. Maintain clear written documentation, ensure work area safety, and manage production floor operations as a backup for the Director of Operations.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in CNC program, or computer-related field or mechanical field
- Minimum 10 years' experience in programming
- Experience programming for Moreseiki CNC machines (NL/NLX and NTX)
- Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
- Must be able to communicate well via verbal and written skills to explain / train / transfer important instructions
- Must have strong attention to details
- Must have strong quality mindset
- Well-organized and handle fast paced environment with multiple deadlines
- Strong troubleshoot skill and resolving mechanical / logical problems
- Available to work weekends and overtime
- Must be able to work effectively with little or no supervision
- Must be a U.S. citizen as defined by ITAR (i.e. U.S. citizen, U.S permanent resident, or a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3))
- Must be able to lift, move or slide 50 lbs
- Local travelling may require to support customer's event / meetings
Desired Qualifications
- 3 years knowledge of Espirit software is a plus
- 3 years knowledge of defense work is a plus
