Job Summary
Coordinate complex NC programming from engineering design through finished parts, ensuring dimensional conformity and efficient throughput for the manufacturing floor. Write and update complex NC/CNC programs to control machine movements, select cutting tools, and calculate proper speeds and feeds to produce parts to specification. Analyze methods and materials to recommend continuous improvement actions and lead lean manufacturing initiatives while training and mentoring less experienced staff. This onsite, day-shift role operates Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Candidates must possess an Associate's degree or trade school completion in NC Programming and seven or more years of directly related CNC/NC programming experience.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree or completion of a related trade school program in NC Programming
- Seven or more years of directly related CNC/NC programming experience
- Extensive knowledge of numerical control programming principles and CNC programming language
- Thorough knowledge of tooling, appropriate speeds and feeds, machine sequences, and manufacturing processes
- Ability to correct and optimize NC programs and develop part processes that integrate programming practices
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze data, evaluate outcomes, and establish project goals
- Effective communication skills to present information to team members, team leaders, and management
- Onsite, day-shift production environment (1st Shift, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience applying continuous improvement methods (process mapping, design-to-production automation)
- Experience leading cross-functional projects or serving as prime contact on high-level projects
