Job Summary
CNC Programmer responsible for creating CNC programs for mills (vertical, horizontal and 5-axis) and lathes for new parts and for improving machining strategies; integrate new machinery and automation; perform hands-on setup and troubleshooting; design fixtures for CNC machining and CMM inspection; drive and implement improvements to manufacturing methods and procedures; provide continuous improvement support to team leaders; requires Mastercam and SolidWorks experience, ability to read drawings, and familiarity with controls, robotics, conveyors, and PLCs. Must meet ITAR compliance with US citizenship or permanent residency; Precision Resource is an equal opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of CNC machining and programming experience
- Minimum of 5 years in a manufacturing environment
- At least 3 years of manual machining experience
- EDM expertise is highly valued
- 5-axis CNC machining expertise is a plus
- Experience with Mastercam and SolidWorks
- Proficiency in reading drawings and schematics
- Familiarity with controls, industrial robotics, conveyor systems, and PLC programming
- U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident or protected individual for ITAR compliance
