Job Summary
Operate a HAAS VF-2 CNC milling machine to produce high-quality components while adhering to strict specifications and tolerances. Proficiency with SolidWorks and AutoCAD is required for working with design files, alongside strong math skills to support programming accuracy and problem solving. Develop methods and procedures to achieve the most economical cost of manufacturing, streamlining processes to reduce waste and improve workflow. Perform preventative machine maintenance, assemble, dismantle, and repair equipment to blueprint specifications. Attend department meetings to communicate customer requirements, scheduled conflicts, and quality updates. This role requires 5+ years of CNC machining experience in a job shop environment, with a focus on developing methods, procedures, and tools to achieve the most economical cost of manufacturing.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of CNC machining experience in a job shop environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must pass a drug screen
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Must pass a motor vehicle record review
Desired Qualifications
- Technical training or degree
- Prior experience in CNC programming and operation
- Proficiency with SolidWorks and AutoCAD for working with design files
- Strong understanding of speed and feed rates, cutting parameters, and machining best practices
- Knowledge of Tool and Die procedures, tooling selection, and machining processes
- Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and GD&T
- Strong math and computer skills to support programming accuracy and problem solving
- Develops methods, procedures and tools to achieve the most economical cost of manufacturing
- Streamlines manufacturing processes to reduce waste and improve workflow
- Performs required preventative machine maintenance when needed
- Attend department meetings as necessary with the team to communicate specific customer requirements, scheduled conflicts, quality, etc
- Perform duties such as assembling, dismantling, moving, installing or repairing to blueprint specifications along with other duties as assigned
