Job Summary
CNC Programmer uses NX CAD/CAM/CAE to program CNC parts in SpaceX’s Starlink program, working closely with machinists, leads, and engineering teams to optimize programs and procedures. Emphasis on tool/die application, complex surfacing and contours, and graphite electrode programming; responsibilities include generating NC files, Vericut revision control, optimizing speeds/feeds, suggesting drawings changes for manufacturability, tooling setup, meeting productivity goals, and driving process improvements. Preferred candidates have extensive NX experience (5+ years, 10+ years preferred), multi-axis mill/lathe exposure, and capability to work both 1st and 2nd shifts with overtime as needed. ITAR-compliant eligibility required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- 5+ years of CNC programming experience (including NX)
- Experience with graphite electrode programming
