Job Summary
Develop cutting strategies and toolpaths using Siemens NX to produce plugs and masters on large Fanuc CNC machines. Manage safe operation of the work envelope, supervise personnel, and make manual program adjustments as needed. Ensure part accuracy by inspecting components against design models and maintaining a clean, orderly work area. Allocate machine time according to the priority schedule while complying with all OSHA safety procedures. Requires strong CAD/CAM fundamentals, attention to detail, and the ability to read G code.
Required Qualifications
- Technical controls background or related technical field
- B.S. Mechanical Engineering
- Understanding of the fundamentals of CAD/CAM
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents
- Energetic, forward-thinking, and creative individual with high ethical standards and an appropriate professional image
- Innovative mindset, which generates growing, scalable, data-driven solutions and culture
- Practical experience with sound technical skills, analytical ability, decisive, good judgment, and strong operational focus
- Well-organized and self-directed individual who is a team player and can work in a small team, with little supervision
- Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment where ambient air temperature can exceed outside air temperature
- Ability to bend at waist and knees and stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to see and identify small quality defects
- Fine motor skills required for multiple tasks
- Ability to climb into and out of interior of plugs
- Ability to wear proper safety equipment to include respirator when necessary
- Ability to lift 50 pounds when necessary
