CNC Programmer Machinist

Job Summary
Create new programs for newly developed products and modify existing ones using Mastercam. Setup and verify these programs by uploading files, setting tool offsets, and operating CNC machines like Haas or Fadal until batch completion. Monitor tool wear, adjust offsets, and replace inserts as needed to ensure correct operation. Conduct pre and post inspection on all machined parts while performing preventive maintenance. Assist in identifying issues, initiating corrective actions, and ensuring all records are captured correctly. Maintain a safe, orderly work environment by adhering to standard operating procedures and company policies. This full-time role involves Monday through Thursday, 10-hour days, with potential overtime up to 12 hours on Fridays, Saturdays, or alternate shifts.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
- technical school
- 3+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment
- 3+ years' programming experience
- Ability to use a computer/tablet/keyboard
- Experience using hand tools
- Experience with CNC controllers
- interpreting blueprints
- producing quality parts
- Self-motivated
- able to work independently and efficiently with general instruction and limited supervision to meet deadlines
- Ability to maintain the pace of work with machine shop
- Ability to deal with multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to read and comprehend a variety of SOPs and/or routine engineering design drawings
- Ability to communicate effectively with others
- Strong interpersonal, decision making, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- General mechanical aptitude
