Job Summary
Read engineering drawings and blueprints, then program CNC milling machines, lathes, and routers using MasterCam for 4th and 5th axis operations. Create 3D programs from surfaces and solids, build process sheets for material flow, and set up production machinery to fit and assemble components to close tolerance. Liaise with department personnel to ensure project goals are met on budget while developing machining policies and procedures. Requires a General Machinist certificate or equivalent experience with 7+ years in custom machining. Full-time on-site role in Cambridge, ON with flexible scheduling and travel as required.
Required Qualifications
- Certificate of Qualification for a General Machinist
- demonstrated equivalent experience in a automation/manufacturing environment
- 7+ years of custom machining and programming using Mastercam
- willingness to work a flexible schedule
- willingness to travel as required in varying timelines
