CNC Programmer Machinist

Job Summary
Experienced CNC Programmer Machinist needed to program, set up, and operate CNC milling and turning centers. Responsibilities include reading blueprints and GD&T, selecting tooling and inserts, writing or modifying CNC programs in Mastercam, validating programs for machining accuracy, performing operations such as surfacing, turning, reaming, boring, drilling, tapping, and conducting dimensional inspections with precision tools. Must understand machine capacities and tool/material machinability, maintain a clean and safe shop, and collaborate with a team of about 10 machinists. Overtime may be required. Qualifications include at least 5 years in CNC machining, High School Diploma or equivalent, experience with CNC milling/turning, and preferred CNC control experience (Mazak, Haas, Mitsubishi) and Mastercam proficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a CNC machining environment
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with CNC milling and turning metal removal production systems
- CNC technical degree or equivalent certification preferred
- Experience with Mazak, Haas, and Mitsubishi controls preferred
- Experience using Mastercam software preferred
- Strong shop math and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
