Job Summary
CNC Programmer responsible for developing new CNC programs from engineering drawings and models; troubleshoot programs and identify areas for process improvement; collaborate with engineering teams to resolve issues related to processes or fixtures; edit and convert existing programs for use on different machines; maintain a comprehensive program database for both new and existing programs; select appropriate tooling from the tooling database; work closely with the shop floor to make program adjustments and optimize operations; navigate and utilize the MRP system.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of offline programming experience on 3, 4, and 5-Axis CNC Mills
- Proficiency with Master CAM or a similar CAD/CAM system, with the willingness to be trained on Master CAM
- Strong knowledge of cutting tools and standard machining practices
- Ability to interpret and apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
