Job Summary
Review assigned jobs and due dates to program CNC operations ahead of load requirements. Analyze die designs and anticipate production problems before programming begins. Maintain the CNC task manager, document CAD information for easy retrieval, and communicate with toolmakers regarding component fabrication. Solve setup block issues and create new programs while optimizing programming and setup methods. Operate CNC machinery as needed and manage Renishaw Probe, tool set pots, and diagnostic calibrations. Draw basic parts and maintain a safe, clean work area while complying with all safety policies.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from high school (or equivalent)
- Two years of technical tooling training
- Minimum two (2) years' directly related experience
- At least two years of recent related mechanical and shop experience
- Minimum of one year of related CNC experience
- Working knowledge of the tooling process and CNC machinery
- Working knowledge of the equipment, materials, methods and practices used in production tooling operations
- Knowledge of related safety requirements to include proper use of safety equipment and proper safety precautions
- Ability to understand, follow and issue routine oral and written instructions
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
