CNC Programmer

Job Summary
Operates metalworking machine tools (lathe, milling machine, drill, grinder) to machine parts to specifications, using referenced blueprints and engineering information. Selects, aligns, and secures fixtures and cutting tools; prepares tooling (jigs, fixtures, molds/dies) and verifies dimensions to within .0005 using precision measuring instruments and trig knowledge. Sets controls or enters commands for computerized machine control media, and collaborates with engineering and supervisory teams to exchange technical information. Maintains and inspects produced units, dismantles equipment as needed, and performs cleaning and lubrication to ensure equipment readiness.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2+ years of CNC programming experience
- Minimum 2+ years of operating CNC lathes and mills
- Ability to read blueprints
- Ability to measure, mark and organize metal stock for machining
