Job Summary
Develop, write, and edit CNC programs using CAD/CAM software from engineering drawings and specs; analyze designs to create efficient machining paths; optimize programs to reduce cycle times and material waste while maintaining quality; troubleshoot machine setups and programs; run simulations to validate programs; ensure dimensional accuracy with precision measurement tools; collaborate with production and engineering to integrate programs into manufacturing and drive process improvements to boost productivity and reduce costs.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- 2 years plus CNC programming experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency with CAD/CAM software
- Strong knowledge of G-code and M-code
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Understanding of machining processes, materials, and tooling
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
