Job Summary
The CNC Programmer is responsible for creating moderate to high complexity CNC programs, programming various machining tools including mills, lathes, and grinders, and resolving process and program issues. Required skills include manual programming in G-code, proficiency in SolidWorks, MasterCam, and Vericut software, as well as the ability to read blueprints, and strong foundations in geometry and trigonometry. The role demands effective communication and problem-solving skills while working within a collaborative team environment.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of related work experience
- Read and interpret blueprints
- Understand complex GD&T
- Experience using the Cartesian coordinate system
- SolidWorks 3D modeling software
- Manual (long-hand) programming in G-code
- MasterCam CAD/CAM software
- Vericut simulation software
- Effective written and verbal communication
- Mathematical thinking and processing
- Strong geometry foundation
- Strong trigonometry foundation
- Ability to maintain systems of organization
- Attention to detail
Desired Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or higher
