Job Summary
Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes according to established programs, work orders, and setup sheets to produce precision components to blueprint specification. Load raw material, select correct tooling, and enter or adjust offsets within established program parameters. Inspect in-process and finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision gauges to confirm conformance to specification. Monitor running cycles and make minor adjustments to hold quality, tolerance, and cycle time. Perform routine machine maintenance, keep the work area clean and safe, and identify tooling wear or machine malfunctions to report promptly. Maintain accurate production and inspection records while supporting the shop transition to a new aerospace-capable facility. This onsite role in Penrose, CO (transitioning to Pueblo) requires a Secret security clearance and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent with 1+ year of CNC operating experience OR completion of a machining/vocational training program in lieu of experience
- Working knowledge of reading blueprints, work orders, and basic G-code
- Comfortable using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Demonstrated attention to detail and a strong commitment to producing quality parts to specification
- Reliable, safety-focused, and able to work well both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment
- Eligible to pass an FBI/DoD background check and obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
- Ability to lift, move, or carry items or equipment up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable standing, walking, and working in a manufacturing environment for extended periods
- Use of personal protective equipment required

Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in an aerospace or defense manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with basic CNC setup, tooling, or CAD/CAM software
