CNC Operator - Steering D Shift

Job Summary
Operate CNC equipment per instruction sheets and verbal directions, checking product dimensions with gauges to distinguish good or non-conforming parts. Assist with tool changes and simple fixture adjustments while visually inspecting for defects in workmanship. Input daily data to maintain charts and reports supporting manufacturing, quality, and sales functions. Maintain a clean work area using the 5S policy and comply with TS16949 and ISO14000 standards. Adhere to safety rules and suggest continuous improvement programs. Work the D shift Monday through Thursday for 10 hours daily. High school diploma required with basic math and manual dexterity skills.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Sufficient reading and writing ability to follow work order instructions and prepare simple production reports
- Basic math skills
- Sufficient Manual dexterity to operate machines properly
- Sufficient visual acuity (corrected) to read instructions, operates machines, and visually inspects parts products
- Physical ability to do work requiring frequent stooping and bending
- Physical strength sufficient to lift and carry 40 pounds frequently
- Must have acceptable scores on pre-employment assessments
- Demonstrate ability to work in a team environment to achieve required Takt and cycle times
- Must be able to determine good or NG product
- Must be aware of all hazardous conditions within a machining environment
- Adhere to all safety rules and guidelines per the Hitachi safety policy
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Required to wear hat
- Required to wear safety glasses
- Required to wear steel toe shoes
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred manufacturing/industrial experience with preference in electronic/mechanical equipment assembly or high speed equipment operation
