Job Summary
Set-up and operate CNC machines, robots, and polishing equipment within production cells while performing all required quality checks per the control plan. Measure finished workpieces using precision instruments, remove dull tools, and adjust feeds, speeds, and controls to compensate for machine sounds or errors. Mount fixtures, align workpieces, lubricate machines, and maintain equipment by replacing broken tools. Confer with supervisors to resolve malfunctions, monitor control panel displays, and stack finished items into containers. Rotate within any ratchet body cell as needed and work overtime when required to meet productivity levels. Adhere to 6-S and TPM requirements while wearing approved PPE.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma
- 1 to 3 years manufacturing experience
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide decimals and fractions
- Work from drawings, specifications and formulas involving limited detail
- Use and interpret measuring equipment
- Use precise judgment to plan and perform work
- Make decisions as to the sequence of set-ups, operations and processes within the limit of recognized or standard methods and procedures
