Job Summary
The CNC Operator operates and sets up computer numerical control machines, fabricates parts, loads parts, and detects machine malfunctions. Key responsibilities include reading production orders, interpreting blueprints, performing various machining processes such as milling and drilling, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a safe work environment. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, mechanically inclined, and possesses strong math skills.
Required Qualifications
- Strong math skills, including decimals and fractions
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience as a CNC Operator or completion of a CNC program from a technical or trade school
- Extensive knowledge of machine maintenance and operation
- Mechanically inclined with basic machinery and tooling knowledge
- Ability to read, write and communicate well
- Limited computer knowledge
