Job Summary
Oversee CNC setup and operation of lathes and milling machines, ensuring proper fixtures and settings while verifying positions through first-run measurements. Load and adjust CNC programs, set zero/references, and prepare raw materials for fabrication of metal, plastic, and synthetic parts. Perform in-process and CMM inspections using calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure adherence to quality regulations and design specifications. Conduct daily maintenance, replace worn tooling, and participate in root cause analysis for non-conformities. Maintain a clean, safe workplace through daily 6S activities and manage inventory transactions in the ERP system. Work the 2nd shift (Mon-Thurs 4:30pm-3:00am) supporting mission-critical components used in automotive safety, medical diagnostics, and emergency rescue equipment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 2-3 years' experience in CNC machining
- Intermediate understanding of CNC G-codes and M-codes
- Intermediate skill in operating CNC machinery and tooling
- Intermediate skill in precision measurement tools
- Proficiency in math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals)
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be authorized to work in the US
