Job Summary
CNC Operator II with at least 2 years of set-up and operation of CNC mills and lathes in a job-shop environment; reads blueprints, edits feeds and speeds, adjusts offsets, troubleshoots, and documents information. Responsible for setting up and operating CNC and manual machines (mill-turns, mills, lathes, grinders) to aerospace tolerances and complex shapes, aligning fixtures and tools, modifying programs, reading process instructions and drawings, performing inspections with precision gages, ensuring 100% safe work environment, and contributing to Lean Enterprise initiatives to improve quality and productivity. Requires communication with engineering or supervision and adherence to safety policies; overtime may be required.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- 2 or more years of manufacturing or military experience, or 2 years of formal technical training
- 2–10 years CNC machining experience preferred
- Proficient in shop math, including geometry and conversions
- Blueprint reading and GD&T methods of dimensioning
- Successful completion of TITANS of CNC Academy Building Blocks Series is preferred
