Job Summary
Machine Operator on the Rod Line performing cutting and secondary processes, including identifying pieces per Order criteria, inspecting for material defects, and packaging for shipment. Responsibilities include preparing saw programs according to material type and size, verifying material length, moving raw material between machines and recycling/stock, packaging finished products for shipping, and performing deburring/polishing as part of secondary operations. Must maintain urgency and accuracy, follow drawings and instructions, read orders, and work effectively in a fast-paced team environment. Requires the ability to operate machinery with manual labor, use measuring tools, and communicate in English; ability to stand/sit and lift up to 33 pounds; prefers 6 months to 1 year of metal cutting experience and basic computer skills. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 6 months – 1 year of experience with metal cutting preferred
- Understand and use measuring tools and devices
- Ability to stand, sit, and possibly lift up to 33 pounds
- Must have basic computer skills
- Able to read, write, and speak English fluently and clearly
- Ability to work in varied temperatures, and conditions dependent on the outside environment.
