Job Summary
CNC Operator based in Batesburg, SC, responsible for set-up, autonomous maintenance and operation of CNC machinery (lathes, milling machines) to meet engineering changes and manufacturing documentation. Read and interpret blueprints and work orders, load and assess tools, perform inspections with measuring tools, troubleshoot machine issues, and ensure parts meet quality standards. Perform 5S and maintain a clean, organized work area; support assembly and painting as needed; follow safety and company policies. Requires CAD/CAM familiarity, Metrology tools knowledge, crane operation, and the ability to lift/move items; train Associate level operators and communicate effectively. Works in a fast-paced production environment with Hitachi Rail processes in Batesburg-Leesville, SC.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of Associate CNC Operator or similar experience
- Experience operating overhead and jib cranes
- Understand the use of CAD/CAM software in CNC operations
- Familiarity with Metrology tools (e.g. hardness and stress testing)
- Strong interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and SAP Enterprise Software
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Must have the ability to obtain Powered Industrial Trucks (e.g. forklift, pallet jack) Certification
