Job Summary
CNC Machinist responsible for safe operation and setup of CNC machining centers and other production machines using existing programs and tooling. Must work with management to debug and optimize manufacturing processes, demonstrate high competency with metalworking equipment, diagnose process problems, implement corrective actions, and monitor budget/delivery impacts. Requires reading blueprints and GD&T, loading CNC programs, setting up fixtures/tools, producing first piece from setup, performing inspections, and training others in safe operation. Also performs daily preventive maintenance and adheres to safety standards; familiar with G/M codes, Epicor Vista, and related software.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 5+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Able to read and interpret blueprints and specifications, GD&T
- Knowledge of CNC programming, G & M codes
- Ability to train others in safe operation
- Proficient with CNC fixtures and tooling installation
- Ability to debug machining processes
- Ability to evaluate and report on budget/delivery impact
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Epicor Vista
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Ability to work with progressive manufacturing processes
