Job Summary
Operate and program the dual-table CNC Sawjet system to transform raw stone into precision-cut countertop components. Read and interpret production drawings to create accurate CNC programs, determine cutting sequences, load/unload slabs, and coordinate with shop teams to maintain safety and efficiency. Utilize AlphaCAM for programming, and leverage knowledge of stone countertop materials (quartz/granite/marble) along with inventory/software tools (Slabsmith, Moraware, MS Office) to ensure quality cuts and efficient workflow. Qualifications include High School Diploma or GED preferred, 1 year countertop fabrication experience, and 2 years of CNC operation/programming experience; pre-employment screening is required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- 2 years’ experience in the operation of CNC machines
- 2 years’ experience in executing CNC machine programming using AlphaCAM
- Knowledge of stone countertop materials (quartz/granite/marble)
- One year experience in countertop fabrication or related field
- Lift test required: ability to lift, push, pull required weights per established requirements for the department
- Pre-employment screening includes, but isn’t limited to, Respirator fit test, Chest X-Ray, and criminal background check
- Computer skills and ability to navigate MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Ability to enter data quickly and accurately
