Job Summary
Establish aerospace tool setups and validate programs for 3 and 5 axis machines in conjunction with the CNC Department Manager and NC Programmers. Operate numerical control machines for machining tools, details, and parts while maintaining safe adherence to all safety procedures and policies. Manage the numerical control database and read blueprints including geometric tolerances and GD&T. Perform duties as reasonably assigned by management, including potential travel to other site locations and overtime work to meet department demands.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- 5 years' experience in conventional machining and/or NC machining practices
- Responsible for Numerical Control Database Management
- Strong mathematical skills, including the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area circumferences and volume
- Ability to read and understand blueprints including geometric tolerance and understanding of general tolerances and GD&T
- U.S. Person as defined by 22.C.F.R.
- U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder')
- Must be able to wear the necessary personal protective gear (PPE) for most, if not all, of the working day
- Must be able to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Must be able to see, talk, hear, touch, feel and reach with hands and arms
- Must be able to frequently walk and stand for prolonged periods of time
- Must be able to lift and move up to 35lbs, occasionally lift and move objects up to 50lbs
- Must be able to pass and maintain certifications during the duration of employment that are required for using of business provided moving equipment
- Must be able to pass and maintain certifications for Lockout / Tagout (LOTO)
- Must be able to pass and maintain certifications for Aerial Lifts and Work Platforms
- Must be able to pass and maintain certifications for Fall Protection
- Must be able to pass and maintain certifications for Overhead Crane
- Must be able to pass and maintain certifications for Rigging
- Must be able to pass and maintain certifications for Mobile Equipment and Powered Industrial Vehicle
- Must be able to pass and maintain certifications for Weld and Weld Inspection
- Must be able to pass and maintain certifications for Emergency Preparedness
- Must be able to pass and maintain certifications for Incident / Accident Prevention and Response
- Must be able to pass and maintain certifications for Arc Flash and Electrical Handling
- Must be able to pass and maintain certifications for Confined Space Entry
- Must be able to pass and maintain certifications for Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT)
- Must be able to successfully pass an employee reference check
- Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check
- Must be able to successfully pass a drug screening
