Job Summary
Set up and operate CNC machines, including lathes, mills, and machining centers, by loading materials, securing parts, and executing work orders based on specifications and blueprints. Ensure parts meet quality standards through inspection and measurement, complete accurate work order documentation, and perform routine machine maintenance while maintaining a clean workspace. Collaborate with team members, assist with training others, and follow safety standards while contributing ideas for improvement. Work the 2:00 PM–10:30 PM Monday–Friday shift at The Gund Company in St. Louis, MO, earning $22+ plus a 15% shift differential.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read blueprints and follow written instructions
- Experience operating CNC equipment or similar machining tools
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy
- Basic to intermediate math skills and problem-solving ability
- Experience using measurement tools (calipers, gauges, etc.)
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities
- Willingness to work overtime as needed to support production
Desired Qualifications
- Prior manufacturing or machining experience
- Vocational or technical training in machining or fabrication
