CNC Operator 2nd Shift (4 Day/10 Hour Shifts)

Job Summary
Set up full production cycles and operate CNC Lathe machines for turning, drilling, bar feeding, and live tooling using Hyundai, Mori, Yugi, and HAAS equipment. Optimize setup times, maintain offsets, and maximize machine utilization while reading blueprints and applying Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing. Troubleshoot programs, perform daily maintenance checks, and conduct in-process part inspections to report non-conformance issues. Coordinate with superintendents and quality personnel to resolve concerns, document shift transitions, and wear required PPE throughout the 2nd shift from 2:30 PM to 1:00 AM.
Required Qualifications
- CNC Machining skills
- Experience with Okuma, Mazak, and Mori lathe machines
- Knowledge of calipers, gauges, and other required measuring tools
- Strong proficiency in basic math
- Ability to accurately document machining procedures
- Familiarity with metals, part-holding fixtures, and lathe/mill tooling
- Ability to read, comprehend, and complete logs and reports in English
- Ability to handle heavy items, including lifting, pushing, pulling, and positioning components
- Strong understanding of machining practices, materials, and general mechanical principles
- Dependable with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude
- Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled shop environment and stand for an entire shift
- Ability to work scheduled hours
