Job Summary
Run and setup CNC milling equipment while maintaining machines per manufacturer instructions. Read blueprints, inspect parts, and monitor machine temperatures to ensure adequate warm-up and cool-down times. Operate tools including mics, calipers, and dial bore gauges to set tooling offsets, speeds, and feeds, holding tolerances to .001". Comply with safety regulations and maintain orderly work areas. Requires 4+ years of experience with a flexible schedule (4-10s) and mandatory overtime on Fridays or Saturdays.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years' experience running CNC Mills
- Ability to use Conversational Programming
- Ability to identify speeds and feeds on different alloys required
- Ability to calculate using fractions and decimals as well as identify radius required
- Ability to read, understand and interpret blueprints, schematics, etc.
- Ability to properly use micrometers, calipers and tape measure to determine tolerances required
- Ability to hold tolerances to .001"
- Must be able to have flexible start time
- Willing to adjust schedule to your needs
- Must be available for overtime on Fridays or sometimes Saturdays
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Experienced in cutting a variety of metals and welds
- Experienced in turning, drilling, boring and threading both internal and external
- Experienced in a 4 jaw chuck setup
- Familiarity with cutting tools; their applications and uses; and other tools associated with lathing equipment and machine work
- Familiarity with required hand tools; their applications and uses; and safe handling requirements
