Job Summary
Operate specials milling and grinding cells to produce metal parts within the Press Brake Division. Inspect and set up machines manually or with hand tools, change fixtures, and place parts into fixtures. Set dials, switches, and programs to begin processes, then monitor operations and remove finished parts for inspection. Repeat these steps across various cell machines as workload demands. Work Monday through Friday from 11pm to 3am. Requires a 2-year machine tool technology degree or equivalent experience, including the ability to edit programs and read blueprints.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate with a 2-year machine tool technology or tool and die degree
- 2nd year Machine Tool Technology students
- Tool and Die student(s)
- Strong mechanical and technical abilities/experience
- Ability to edit programs and set up multiple styles of machines
- Understanding of G&M Codes
- Willingness to freely move amongst all cell machines as workload demands
- Ability to read technical data such as blueprints and routings
- Machine tooling mathematics including trigonometry and algebra
- Ability to lift or move up to 35 lbs
- Ability to lift or move up to 50 lbs
- Close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to focus
