Job Summary
Set up, operate, and monitor Mori CNC milling machines to machine metal components to precise specifications. Reads blueprints and work instructions, loads materials, installs tooling and offsets, monitors performance, and ensures quality. Performs inspections with calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring equipment; maintains safety and production records; works 2nd shift with potential overtime.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of CNC milling experience preferred, specifically with Mori machines
- Experience with machine setup, tooling changes, troubleshooting, and offsets required
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong understanding of machining processes, feeds, speeds, and tolerances
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments accurately
- Basic math skills including fractions, decimals, and measurement conversions
- Ability to perform metric-to-inch conversions
- High school diploma or GED required
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the duration of the workday
- Ability to work independently and maintain consistent production quality
