Job Summary
The CNC Mill Operator is responsible for setting up and operating CNC milling machines to produce precision components according to engineering drawings. Key tasks include loading programs, performing inspections, monitoring machine performance, and following safety protocols. Required qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years of CNC milling experience, and the ability to read blueprints. The role demands strong attention to detail and basic math skills.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years CNC milling experience (or equivalent technical training)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
- Experience using calipers, micrometers, indicators, and gauges
- Basic understanding of feeds, speeds, and tooling
- Ability to perform basic math and decimal conversions
- Strong attention to detail
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Fanuc, Haas, or similar controls
- Setup experience (fixture mounting, tool setting, probing)
- Experience running tight-tolerance parts (±.001" or better)
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
