Job Summary
Operate 3-axis or 4-axis Haas Mills to perform cutting, drilling, milling, reaming, boring, and broaching of metallic and nonmetallic work pieces. Read blueprints and technical data to determine tooling requirements, setup procedures, and machining sequences. Prepare tools, mount work pieces, and adjust machine controls for cutting depth, speed, and coolant flow. Monitor machine operation to detect malfunctions, change tools, and measure parts for conformance to specifications. Conduct prove-outs and manual programming when approved, perform maintenance, and assist in training new employees while adhering to safety regulations. Join the 2nd shift at our Greenwood, IN facility.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of related experience and/or training
- Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Mathematical skills to manage units of measure, fractions, decimals, whole numbers
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and operations sheets to determine set-up and operations to be formed
- Ability to set-up and operate CNC machinery
- Ability to input and maintain data in Traverse Manufacturing System
- Must be able to work 2nd shift schedule
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
