Job Summary
Conduct precision machining of complex components for energy, defense, and aerospace industries while adhering to strict quality standards and engineered drawings. Perform in-process inspections, retrieve QAP documentation, and verify tooling and gauging calibration before starting work. Evaluate cutting tool performance, diagnose equipment faults, and troubleshoot maintenance issues autonomously. Maintain clean work areas, perform fluid topping, and report drawing discrepancies or faulty materials to supervisors. Read program code, interpret G and M commands, and manage production priorities to meet deadlines. Work Friday through Sunday from 6:00pm to 6:00am, receiving a 5% weekend pay premium for 36 hours of work paid as 40.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year experience operating CNC milling machines with live tooling capabilities
- Familiar with the use of precision tools and instruments
- Tools and instruments include but are not limited to: Calipers, Micrometers, and Gauges
- Ability to understand G and M code
- Good knowledge and understanding of machine cutting tools
- Strong mathematical skills
- Must be able to read and interpret charts, drawings, and blueprints
- Understands the need for accuracy, is highly organized and demonstrates and strong attention to detail
- Familiar with GD&T symbols understands their meaning
- Must be able to read, interpret and follow work instructions
- Punctual, reliable, and able to work well and be productive with minimal supervision
- Friday – Sunday 6:00pm – 6:00am
- 5% pay premium for weekend work
- Work 36 hours, get paid for 40 hours
- Can lift and carry products up to 50 lbs
- Employment is contingent upon successfully completing a background investigation and pre-employment drug screening
