Job Summary
Conduct precision machining of complex components conforming to engineered drawings and specifications while performing in-process inspections to ensure quality standards. Retrieve and adhere to QAP documentation, verify tooling and gauging calibration, and evaluate cutting tool performance. Diagnose equipment faults, troubleshoot maintenance issues, and perform autonomous maintenance such as fluid topping. Develop final processes, calculate cycle times and tool life data, and detect reporting discrepancies to supervisors. Maintain clean work areas, follow all safety regulations, and manage production deadlines. Work Monday through Thursday from 4:15pm to 2:30am with a 5% night shift premium.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year experience operating CNC milling machines with live tooling capabilities
- Familiar with the use of precision tools and instruments
- Tools and instruments include but are not limited to: Calipers, Micrometers, and Gauges
- Ability to understand G and M code
- Good knowledge and understanding of machine cutting tools
- Strong mathematical skills
- Must be able to read and interpret charts, drawings, and blueprints
- Understands the need for accuracy, is highly organized and demonstrates and strong attention to detail
- Familiar with GD&T symbols understands their meaning
- Must be able to read, interpret and follow work instructions
- Punctual, reliable, and able to work well and be productive with minimal supervision
- Must be able to lift and carry products up to 50 lbs
- Must be available for Monday – Thursday 4:15pm – 2:30am
- Employment is contingent upon successfully completing a background investigation and pre-employment drug screening
