CNC Mill Machinist / Setup Machinist

Job Summary
Read blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions to independently set up and operate CNC milling machines. Install cutting tools, fixtures, and vises while establishing offsets and performing dry runs. Execute first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using calipers, micrometers, and bore gauges. Troubleshoot machining issues, adjust tool wear, and make minor program edits for speeds and feeds. Maintain accurate documentation and conduct routine preventative maintenance. Work with Production, Quality, and Engineering to resolve problems and improve processes. Keep the work area clean, safe, and organized. Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of CNC milling setup and operating experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong blueprint reading and shop math skills
- Working knowledge of GD&T and machining tolerances
- Proficient with precision measuring equipment
- Knowledge of cutting tools, speeds, feeds, and basic machining practices
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
