Job Summary
CNC Mill Machinist needed for 2nd shift in an aerospace environment. Responsibilities include precision machining of aerospace hardware (castings/forgings from aluminum to high nickel alloys), setup and initial program validation, inspection and validation of key features at CNC machines, collaboration with engineering, programming and management to optimize machining processes and fixture design, and adapting to changing priorities. Must demonstrate strong geometric tolerancing knowledge, experience setting up and running vertical and horizontal CNC mills with minimal supervision, proficiency with precision measuring equipment, and the ability to read blueprints for aerospace applications. Excellent organizational and communication skills, detail orientation, teamwork, and a drive for high-quality results are essential. 4-day work week opportunity.
Required Qualifications
- Strong knowledge and application of geometric tolerancing
- Ability to set up and run Vertical and Horizontal CNC Mills with minimal supervision
- Expertise in using precision measuring equipment
- Proficiency in reading blueprints for the aerospace industry
- At least three years of experience in precision machining
