Job Summary
Perform complete setup and operation of CNC mills, selecting tooling, setting offsets, and proving out programs. Edit programs at the machine to troubleshoot issues while interpreting complex blueprints and GD&T. Inspect parts to ensure tight tolerances are met and optimize cycle times to improve machining processes. Mentor and support less experienced machinists in this high-mix, small-batch job shop environment. First shift rotation includes 4, 10-hour days or 5, 8-hour days from 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of CNC mill machining experience
- Strong setup experience and ability to run independently
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and GD&T
- Experience with program edits and troubleshooting
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple jobs and priorities
- First Shift: 4, 10-hour days (5:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
- First Shift: 5, 8-hour days (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM)
