CNC Mill Machinist - 2nd Shift

Job Summary
Load, unload, start, and stop CNC machines while setting feeds and speeds according to drawing specifications. Monitor operations to detect dull tools and excessive vibration, adjusting controls to exact positions. Measure finished workpieces using precision instruments to ensure conformance with geometric tolerances and specifications. Watch gauges and dials to verify quality standards throughout the machining process. Calculate and set machine movements based on technical drawings. Perform related duties as assigned. This 2nd shift role runs Monday through Thursday with four 10-hour shifts, including an 8% differential and a $3000 sign-on bonus.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 0-3 years of experience in relevant field preferred
- 5S and Lean Manufacturing training
- Basic Blueprint Reading
- Documentation and Modern's Production System
- Inspection Techniques for Machinists
- SPC Charts and Tools
- Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
- Adjusting Boring heads
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of basic hand tools, including their uses and maintenance
- Ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine to exact positions
- Ability to control the operations of machining equipment and systems
- Basic mathematics knowledge, particularly Trigonometry
