Job Summary
CNC Mill Machinist on 2nd shift responsible for loading/unloading, starting/stopping machines, setting feeds and speeds, monitoring gauges and workpieces to meet specifications, detecting tool wear and vibration, and performing measurements with precision instruments. Requires basic hand tools knowledge, ability to adjust machine controls precisely, proficiency in machining equipment operations, and basic math including trigonometry. Education typically a High School diploma or equivalent, with 0-3 years of related experience and training in 5S, Lean Manufacturing, blueprint reading, GD&T, SPC, and related inspection techniques. On-site, 2nd shift, with 8% differential and sign-on bonus; Tempe, AZ location.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 0-3 years of experience in relevant field preferred
- 5S and Lean Manufacturing training
- Basic Blueprint Reading
- Documentation and Modern’s Production System
- Inspection Techniques for Machinists
- Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
- SPC Charts and Tools
- Adjusting Boring heads
