Job Summary
Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes to produce high-quality, close-tolerance components. Perform machine setups, tooling changes, and changeovers while loading, verifying, and adjusting CNC programs using G-code and M-code. Read blueprints, interpret GD&T, and maintain dimensional tolerances by selecting cutting tools, fixtures, and workholding. Conduct first-piece, in-process, and final inspections with precision measuring equipment. Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and programming issues, collaborate with programmers on complex challenges, and improve processes. Maintain accurate paperwork, ensure a clean and safe work area, and follow all safety procedures. Swiss CNC experience may qualify for pay above $30/hour.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience
- Minimum 5 years of CNC setup and changeover experience
- CNC programming experience with a strong understanding of G-code and M-code
- Ability to set up and operate both CNC mills and lathes
- Experience producing precision parts to close tolerances
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
- Strong knowledge of precision measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Basic computer skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal

- Swiss CNC machining experience
- Experience machining complex or close-tolerance components
- Strong understanding of feeds, speeds, tooling, and machining processes
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
- Experience working in a precision machine shop or high-mix manufacturing environment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
