Job Summary
Set up, operate, and maintain CNC milling machines to produce precision components meeting exact engineering specifications. Read blueprints and technical drawings, verify setups, adjust tooling, and monitor operations to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Inspect finished parts with precision instruments, perform routine and preventative maintenance, and troubleshoot equipment issues to minimize downtime. Collaborate with teammates on continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining a clean, safe work environment. Requires five years of CNC milling experience, proficiency with measuring tools, and flexibility for overtime or adjusted schedules.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 5 years of CNC milling experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of CNC machining principles, tooling, feeds, speeds, and machining practices
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical documentation
- Experience setting up CNC milling machines for production
- Proficient using precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, indicators, and gauges
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team
- Flexibility to work overtime or adjusted schedules when business needs require
