Job Summary

Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues quickly and safely to restore equipment and prevent repeat failures. Execute scheduled preventive maintenance including lubrication, inspections, and wear component replacement to protect uptime. Perform hands-on PLC troubleshooting and edits, maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and rebuild industrial machinery such as gearboxes, conveyors, and extruders. Log work performed and downtime causes in CMMS, communicating clearly during shift handoffs. Identify recurring issues and support upgrades that improve uptime, safety, and maintainability.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work both sides of the house: mechanical + electrical
  • Strong diagnostic approach
  • Ability to walk into unfamiliar problems, isolate the issue, and execute a safe, effective fix
  • Equipment teardown/rebuilds
  • Alignment fundamentals
  • Bearings/seals
  • Gearboxes
  • Conveyors
  • Confident troubleshooting and repair of pumps, valves, cylinders, actuators, and air systems
  • Low-voltage controls
  • Sensors
  • Motors
  • Starters
  • Panels
  • Safe troubleshooting practices
  • Ability to troubleshoot PLC-driven equipment and make practical edits
  • Comfortable with heights
  • Comfortable with confined spaces
  • Comfortable with typical plant conditions (heat, dust, noise)

Desired Qualifications

  • Specific plastics equipment experience
  • TCAT or other technical training/certifications
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong tenure across work history and proven reliability
  • Experience around 480V
