Job Summary
CNC Machinist in Houston (Temp-to-Hire) working as a CNC lathe operator in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing facility. Responsibilities include performing setups, operating the CNC lathe per operating instructions, adjusting CNC program or offsets to meet dimensions and quality requirements, using precision gauges and micrometers to validate product, maximizing efficiency and maintaining quality, and following company work instructions, specifications, and policies. Requires familiarity with Mazak and Mori Seiki controls, ability to read prints and tolerances, and a minimum of 2 years of CNC experience with attention to detail. Background and drug screening required; steel-toe boots required.
Required Qualifications
- High School education or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CNC Operator
- Must have a good understanding of machine shop operations and processes
- Mazak experience a plus
- Ability to read blueprints, micrometers and other precision measuring instruments
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
