Job Summary
Operate and control CNC machines, including VTL, Lathe, and Mill units, performing set-up changes and first article inspections on production runs. Load parts using overhead lifting equipment, prove tapes, set offsets, and deburr components while ensuring precise measurements against blueprints and job orders. Identify malfunctions or out-of-tolerance conditions before production starts, adjust controls as required, and maintain knowledge of G & M codes, fixtures, and cutting speeds. Keep equipment and work areas clean, performing basic preventative maintenance and simple edits to NC programs. Requires 4+ years of relevant experience and familiarity with Toshiba TSS/TUE and Fanuc systems.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of basic math, blueprints, and routers
- Knowledge of the proper use of measuring tools/gauges and cutting tools
- 4 or more years relevant experience
- VTL, Lathe, and Mill operators with experience on the Toshiba TSS and Toshiba TUE
- Focus on various computer-controlled machines such as Fanuc
- VTL, HBM and GTL knowledge and experience
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
