Job Summary
CNC Machinist role at PDF in Haverhill, MA. Under direct supervision, sets up and operates machine tools (lathe, milling, shaper, grinder) to machine parts per blueprints and specifications. Responsibilities include reading specifications and layouts, measuring and marking stock, verifying conformance with gauges, documenting time and activity, and adhering to ISO inspection processes and safety guidelines. Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED (technical certification preferred) and about 2 years of related experience; familiarity with G-code, fixturing, tooling setup, blueprints, and measurement devices. Includes a $1,500 sign-on bonus after 30 days and eligible benefits with opportunities to grow skills in a stable manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required / Trade or Technical Certification desired
- 2 years’ experience in a like environment highly desired
- Familiarity with G-code and other programming languages
- Working knowledge of fixturing and tooling set up
- Ability to read blueprints
- Working knowledge of machine set ups and tooling
- Familiarity with measuring devices such as micrometer, caliper, and height gauge
- Ability to operate equipment and make adjustments
- Basic ability to operate computers
