Job Summary
Start and operate CNC machines including mills, lathes with live tooling, and mill-turn centers to reposition work pieces and adjust settings for successive passes. Set up and edit programs, inspect parts using precision measuring instruments, and maintain shop equipment through advanced preventive and corrective maintenance. Troubleshoot machine issues while calculating controls to regulate cutting depth, speed, feed, and coolant flow. Determine production methods and sequences to produce parts according to blueprints and specifications. Requires four years of CNC experience, advanced math skills, and knowledge of Mastercam/Esprit.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working in an R&D environment
- Must be able to determine production methods and sequence of operations to produce parts according to blueprints and specifications
- Advanced math skills (I.e., trigonometry and advanced algebra)
- Four years' experience operating and setting-up CNC machines (Lathes, Mills, Mill Turn Centers) preferred
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of Mastercam/Esprit a plus
