Job Summary
Operate, set up, and adjust CNC mills and lathes to manufacture precision parts while maintaining tight tolerances and quality standards. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications to ensure accurate machining. Inspect finished components using precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers. Troubleshoot equipment, perform routine machine maintenance, and collaborate with engineering teams to improve machining efficiency and reduce waste. This role is within a precision machine shop in Newark DE, where the client delivers top-tier components and custom tooling solutions.
Required Qualifications
- At least 3+ years experience as a CNC Machinist
- Experience with Lathe and/or Milling Machines
- Experience with G Code Programming
- Ability to read drawings, understand work instructions and use close tolerance inspection tools in a very high precision machining environment
