Job Summary
Load programs, set-up, and manage multi-axis milling and lathe machining centers to produce quality parts and tools per engineering drawings and customer standards. Oversee machine execution, perform daily functionality checks, and conduct regular maintenance. Record all machine actions via production routers and quality steps while communicating logistics issues. Ensure operations comply with company guidelines and utilize shop hand tools, measuring equipment, and deburring gear. Translate mechanical documents and engineering drawings with great attention to detail.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong CNC machinist knowledge of 3/4/5 axis vertical and lathe machining centers
- CNC turning experience
- Ability to use shop hand tools, measuring equipment, operate saws, grinders and various deburr equipment
- Good understanding of shop safety and standard safety equipment
- Strong work ethic, self-starter, motivated with great attention to detail and quality
- Ability to translate mechanical documents and engineering drawings
- Great attention to detail with a goal-driven attitude
- Strong comprehension and analytical abilities
- Good computer and mathematical skills
Desired Qualifications
- Manual mill and lathe experience
- Certificate or diploma in engineering or machine programming
- MasterCam software
