Job Summary
CNC Machinist for SpaceX Starlink on 2nd shift, responsible for setting up, operating multi-axis CNC machines (up to 5-axis mills and 6-axis lathes) and performing drilling, tapping, milling and turning to tight tolerances. Tasks include material prep, deburring, oiling machines, and supporting organizational tasks while interpreting blueprints/manufacturing drawings and GD&T. Requires 7+ years of CNC experience (10+ preferred), G-code proficiency, and the ability to work 10-hour shifts; candidate must lift 40 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in a space with standard safety practices. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- 7+ years of experience in the setup and operation of CNC machines
- G-code experience
- Experience with GD&T or interpreting blueprints/manufacturing drawings
- Short run, prototype, non-production machining experience
- Horizontal mill experience
- Basic programming experience
- Experience running lathes + live tooling
